Applicants must have completed Year 12 studies with passes in English and three other Board of Secondary School Studies registered subjects.

South Australian applicants may achieve a pass at Year 11 English and a pass in a language rich subject at Year 12.

Entrants must also have:

• significant business administration or human resource management experience (3-4 years);


or


• completed relevant undergraduate tertiary qualifications, with majors in Human Resource Management, Commerce, Business, Finance, Accounting or Information and Communication Technology preferred.

It is not mandatory for appropriately qualified tertiary applicants to have completed Year 12; however, these results should be presented if available.

At the time of entry, applicants must have Year 12 academic results acceptable to the University of New South Wales, University College at the Defence Academy for entry to their respective faculty. This must include a pass in English, Mathematics (NSW Mathematics or the equivalent in other states) at Year 12. Mathematics (General Mathematics) or equivalent is acceptable as the minimum requirement for entry provided that you are not completing an Engineering or Mathematics based degree, which require specific Mathematics standards set by the University of New South Wales.

In addition, candidates who have English as a Second Language qualifications completed after 1991, which contributes to their Tertiary Entrance Ranking (TER), may use this qualification as an alternative to mainstream English.

To be eligible for an Air Force Undergraduate sponsorship, applicants must have completed Year 12 with passes in English and three other Board of Secondary School Studies registered subjects, and commenced first semester of a full-time degree in Human Resource Management, Business Studies, Finance or Accounting.
