Other Ranks (Non Technical)
Any previous Hospitality training or experience in similar employment or at school is advantageous, although not essential for entry as a trainee. Upon enlistment into the Air Force as a Cook Trainee, you may apply to the ADF School of Catering for Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) for any formal Hospitality training received prior to enlistment. Your application should be accompanied with a Statement of Results from your training provider, a Curriculum Vitae, and any references form previous employers to support your application. The ADF School of Catering will assess your application and where appropriate grant RPL of those modules that meet the requirements of the ADF Initial Cooks Course.
