Applicants for Air Force Education Officer are required to hold a degree in Education (Secondary Teaching) or a minimum three-year degree in Adult Vocational Education/Training, Human Resource development, or a closely related field.

Alternatively, candidates must possess an undergraduate degree (preferably in a scientific or technical discipline) plus a postgraduate qualification in Adult Vocational Education/Training, Human Resource Development, Education (Secondary Teaching) or a closely related field.

In all cases, relevant experience (such as an industry trainer, learning manager or secondary teacher) would be highly desirable and likely to enhance a candidate’s suitability.

The possession of a TAA40104 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment is also desirable for prospective Education Officer candidates.
