Laboratory Officer

Education Requirements

Graduate

Direct Entry candidates applying to become a Laboratory Officer must hold a Bachelor of Science Degree in Medical Laboratory Science. The course must be recognised by AIMS and meet the minimum training requirements as stipulated by AIMS and the National Association of Testing Authority (NATA). Recruiting will forward candidates qualifications to the specialisation adviser to ensure the candidate's qualifications meet RAAF requirements.

Candidates must have completed a minimum of 2 years postgraduate On-Job-Training (OJT) in a major multi-discipline civilian laboratory as part of their formal consolidation training and must be eligible for member status of the AIMS.
