Officer (Reserve)
The Operations Officer Basic Course is undertaken at selected RAAFAR squadrons. The course is 1.4 weeks duration and personnel are required to live-in during the training period. Weekend leave is available during the course but no other leave is allowed except for compassionate reasons.
Whilst under training, Reserve Squadron Training Flight staff will arrange for the reservist trainee to be provided with a mentor and opportunities for practical experience in an operations working environment. Training staff will monitor the trainee's progress and provide the necessary assistance to ensure that the reservist graduates.
