Upon the completion of Initial Employment Training, your first posting will be to JEWOSU in Adelaide if you are ELINT trained or Defence Signals Directorate (DSD) in Canberra if you are Technical Signals trained. Further posting opportunities are at 462 Squadron, Canberra, 87 Squadron, Adelaide or as a Defence Force School of Signals instructor at Toowoomba, QLD or Nowra, NSW. There are also limited positions for postings and short duration ‘specialist’ training courses at overseas locations.

The Australian intelligence community is highly integrated and there is close co-operation between Service and Civilian elements. As a SIGSOP(T), you will find yourself working alongside Navy, Army and civilian personnel.
