Civil Accreditation

Army is currently undertaking a review of civil accreditation gained through Army training. Consequently, the employment training you receive may contribute to the following:

The Electrician trade course meets the requirements for both civilian and military authorities and upon completion of the course trainees are eligible for an ALTC Certificate of Completion, Certificate III in Electrical and a Certificate in Engineering (refrigeration), both issued by the State Training Board of Victoria. Other civil accreditation includes:

  • Certificate III in Electro technology Systems Electrician;
  • Certificate IV in Construction Site Supervision: granted to personnel on being assessed as competent as an ARA Corporal;
  • Diploma of Construction Works Supervision: granted to personnel on being assessed as competent as an ARA Sergeant; and
  • Advanced Diploma of Construction Works Management: granted to personnel on being assessed as competent as an ARA Warrant Officer and having completed the Works Manager Course.
