Basic Driver Course: 45 days at Puckapunyal, Victoria.

This training involves instruction in driving loaded and unloaded military vehicles in built up areas, open roads and in the field tactical environment. On completion of this training soldiers are qualified to operate Landrover 110 and Unimogs.

Driver Heavy Rigid - Bulk Fuel Tanker Course: 15 days at Army Logistic Training Centre, Bandiana, Victoria.

This training involves instruction in operating bulk and portable refuelling equipment, fuel quality control and civil terminal procedures. This training is a pre-requisite for attending the Forward Arming and Refuelling Point Operator (FARP) Course.

Forward Arming and Refuelling Point Operator Course: 9-12 weeks at Oakey, QLD.

This course incorporates all aspects of aircraft refuelling and arming operation both in the barracks and field environment. On completion of this training you will be entitled to Pay Grade 3.

Groundcrewman Aircraft Support FARP Operators can progress to sergeant FARP supervisor Pay Grade 5 and then progress further to warrant officer class two Aviation Operations Manager Pay Grade 6.
