Other Ranks (Non Technical)

Gun Number Course: 4 Weeks (full-time)

After completion of Recruit training, you will attend a Gun Number Course at the School of Artillery, Puckapunyal, VIC for four weeks. You will then be posted to a Field or Medium Regiment where you will undergo a minimum of 12 months on the job experience.

ADF Gap Year
Gun Number Course: 4 Weeks (full-time)

After completion of Recruit training, you will attend a Gun Number Course at the School of Artillery, Puckapunyal, VIC for four weeks.

Other Ranks (Non Technical) (Reserve)
Gun Number Artillery Course: 4 Weeks full time or 2 modules of 6 and 21 days.
 
The Basic Communicator Course consists of 6 days;
 
and
 
Gun Number Course consists of 21 days.
 
The modules can be undertaken one after the other, or one at a time, depending on the time you have available.

The training is conducted at the School of Artillery at Puckapunyal VIC and teaches you about the L119 Hamel gun.

Gun Number Artillery Courses may be conducted by Army Reserve Artillery Units during the year on an as required basis.
