Further Training
RAInf officers have ample opportunity to serve overseas, either on operations, exchange or in training appointments. Recent overseas deployments for infantry battalion groups have included Timor Leste, Afghanistan, Iraq and Solomon Islands. A large number of captains and majors are on exchange and training appointments in almost all parts of the world at any time. Furthermore, an infantry company, on rotation, is also deployed to Butterworth, Malaysia and other sub-unit exchanges occur regularly.
