Basic Medical Assistant Training Course: 33 Weeks
The Basic Medical Assistant Course (BMAC) is a tri-Service
course for the Navy, Army and Air Force. It is conducted at the
Army Logistics Training Centre Bonegilla (near Wodonga VIC) and at
HMAS Cerberus (Navy base near Hastings VIC). The BMAC course
provides 33 weeks of theory and practical training in basic nursing
skills, first aid, anatomy and physiology and includes clinical
placements in military and civilian workplace
environments.
Advanced Medical Assistant Course (Medical
Technician): 14
weeks
The Advanced Medical Technician (AMAC) is a tri-Service
course for the Navy, Army and Air Force. It is conducted at the
Army Logistic Training Centre Bonegilla (near Wodonga, VIC), HMAS
Cerberus (Navy base near Hastings, VIC) and RAAF Williams (Air
Force base in Laverton, VIC). The Advanced Medical Assistant Course
provides 14 weeks of theory and practical training in advanced
nursing skills, advanced life support and first aid, enhanced
medical procedures and includes clinical placements in military and
civilian workplace environments.
