The RACMP consists of about 60 officers and 500 other ranks. MP Officers are located in Darwin, Townsville, Brisbane, Sydney, Canberra, Melbourne and Puckapunyal.
There is an Australian Defence Force Investigation Service (ADFIS), which provides a tri-service investigative service, a Defence Police Training Centre that provides tri-service training to Service Police and a Defence Force Corrective Establishment, the corrective detention centre for the three Services.
