Employment Training
Recruit training at Kapooka is followed by Operator Radar training at Puckapunyal, Victoria consisting of:
Operator Radar Course: 10 Weeks
Basic Combat Communicator Course: 1 week
Army Reserve OpRDR soldiers may be offered the opportunity to undertake the Operator Radar course in modules of 14, 15 and 10 days plus the Basic Combat Communicator Course of 6 days.
Trade progression and pay is however, pre-requisite upon the achievement of all trade competencies required by full-time soldiers at the appropriate level.
