Job Details
The Psychological Examiner is a member of the Australian Army Psychology Corps, and performs technical and administrative tasks within, and on behalf of, the military psychology unit, in support of professionally qualified Defence Psychologists, both uniformed and civilian. These tasks primarily relate to the psychological assessment, screening and testing of serving ADF personnel.
Main Job Functions
A Psychological Examiner provides technical and administrative support to psychologists, including the following functions:
- Manages applicant groups;
- Administers a variety of psychological tests to aid in selection, placement and diagnostic decisions;
- Participates in the conduct of mental health promotion and screening;
- Uses statistical techniques to assist in the evaluation of tests and prepares other data for analysis; and
- Assists in matters of a psychological nature involved in the selection, classification and placement of ADF personnel.
