The ADF Sponsored Undergraduate scheme is available to students who have successfully completed the first year of a relevant degree at any university in Australia. If sponsored, you'll continue to study at your university till the end of your degree. The Navy, Army and Air Force Undergraduate sponsorship may vary according to individual Service requirements. So consult with your Careers Counsellor for advice on the eligibility of your degree for sponsorship.

You're a member of the ADF for the length of your sponsorship plus one year. What this really means is you'll be working as part of a supportive team, with the latest and best equipment and pursuing opportunities to work around Australia and overseas. That sounds like a commitment worth making.

After graduation, you will be guaranteed a job and you'll be practicing the profession you're qualified in. And you will be well rewarded for your efforts, with a starting salary package, ranging from approximately $73,000p.a. to $99,000p.a.

The chance to get paid while completing her legal degree and knowing there was a guaranteed job at the end, definitely played a part in Lieutenant Mardi Richards decision to join the Navy.
"I joined the Royal Australian Navy in 2004 as an Undergraduate Legal Officer," Mardi says.
"As an undergrad, Navy paid my uni fees and paid me a salary, while I completed my degree at the uni of my choice."
