Your first six weeks at ADFA, in Canberra, are probably the most exciting six weeks of your life. These episodes will give you a taste for what those six weeks will be like and the range of activities you can look forward to as a a Midshipman or an Officer Cadet at ADFA.

Meet our fresh faced Midshipmen and Officer Cadets when they first arrive at ADFA. Some are nervous, others excited, but they're all looking forward to the six weeks ahead.

They enrol in subjects and take a tour of the various faculties where they will study for their degrees. They also get out on Lake Burley Griffin for some exciting water training.

Each Division competes against each other in the Year One Familiarisation Training Challenge, covering everything they've learnt in the past four weeks.

They begin learning military drill and how to keep their uniforms crisp and their brass polished. Continuing their physical training program, they're tested on their water skills in the ADFA pool.

After adventure training on the high ropes course, they are issued with their Steyr assault weapons. They also begin their field training, spending a night in the bush.

The Midshipmen and Officer Cadets march on parade in front of the Chief of Defence Force, the Air Chief Marshal, as well as very proud family and friends.

It's been three years since the Midshipmen and Officer Cadets began their first six weeks. See their final days at ADFA as they graduate.
