Training.

The training our officers and sailors receive is world class and is equally as valuable to potential employers in the civilian world as it is to us.

When you join the Navy as an officer you'll undertake Initial or Basic Training at the Royal Australian Naval College and as a sailor at HMAS CERBERUS.  The training curriculum is varied, exciting and is aimed at professional and personal development of the individual and the team.

They pay for my education, they pay for me to travel and it's a new experoence. - Stephanie, Seaman.

You will learn about teamwork, living with other people, life on board ship, first aid and combat survivability. Some of this training will take place in the classroom, but there's also a big practical element which includes five days at sea on a training vessel. Learn more
