Intermediate Combat System Operator (Mine Warfare) Training:
The CSO(MW) intermediate training is conducted at HMAS WATERHEN with the following pre-requisites; two years as an Able Seaman CSO(MW) and one year at sea. Intermediate training and the pre-requisites are to be completed before being promoted to Leading Seaman CSO(MW).
Advance Combat System Operator (Mine Warfare) Training:
The CSO(MW) advance training is conducted at HMAS WATERHEN after four years as a Leading Seaman CSO(MW) and with one year at sea. This training is to be completed before promotion to Petty Officer Combat System Supervisor (CSS(MW)).
