You will be appointed for a fixed period of service of 6 years. Subsequent periods of service may be offered subject to the requirements of the ADF and your suitability for further service.
Members may transfer out of an active element of the Navy Reserve at any time.The majority of jobs in the ADF are available as Full Time positions, many are also available as Part Time or Reserve positions. A select number of jobs are available through the Gap Year program.
