Observers will complete their Operational Flying Training at HMAS ALBATROSS, Nowra NSW and may be posted to any Navy ship where helicopters are embarked.
These officers will form part of a Ships Flight when a helicopter is embarked for operational requirements.
Although Observers operate principally in rotary aircraft as a member of the crew, you could also be employed in other areas such as: Commanding Officer of a ship or shore establishment; Divisional Officer for sailors in the Air Engineering or Seaman qualifications of employment; or providing specialist advice to the Command for the employment of Naval aircraft.
