Officer (Reserve)
New entrants to the PREL Branch are required to complete all phases of the Reserve Entry Officers' Course (REOC) before being employed at sea or ashore.
PREL officers are then required to conduct branch specific training to provide the military component of public affairs. Further professional development training may be available which can lead to the award of a Graduate Certificate of Communications.
PREL Officers are then encouraged to attend an annual Military Public Affairs seminar, known as Exercise LAMBIE, which prepares them for operational deployment.
