Making it through any stage of the application process is an achievement. It’s a very competitive and demanding progression of tasks and you should be proud just to be involved.

If you make it through the entire selection process, you’ll be sent a letter of offer to join the Navy, Army or Air Force. This is a fantastic accomplishment and means that we have seen you display some very special qualities over the course of the tests and interviews.

If your application is successful

If successful you will be sent joining instructions for the Service you have been accepted into, which will provide you with a good indication of what to expect while undertaking your training.

Your Enlistment Coordinator will organise your Enlistment/Appointment day, which all successful applicants must attend. This will be held at the Defence Recruiting Centre, where you will undergo a final medical check, fill out all of the paperwork and finally be sworn in!

A ceremony will be conducted, during which you’ll be awarded your certificate. You can invite family and friends to attend this, so they can share in your achievement and wish you well on the start of your exciting new career.

The final step in the process is to board the bus to take you to initial military training!
